A class VIII student of Rishikul Vidyapeeth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with his dhoti. From Delhi, he was staying in a hostel. As per police, the student committed suicide in the early hours of Friday, at around 2 am. Police, further, said that the reason why he had ended his life was unknown. The probe was on, they added. The body has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Sharma, resident of Shiv Vihar New Delhi.
Speaking to The Pioneer, Mayapur Chowki in-charge Girish Chandra said, “On receiving information from the staffers of Vidyapeeth, our team reached the spot and took the body into custody. No suicide note was recovered. We are awaiting the post- mortem report. After it is received we would be able to confirm whether it was suicide or not”
It is learnt from the school that Dinesh came from his home a few days ago. According to his relatives, the grandfather of the deceased to whom he was very much attached expired a few days ago. His friends in the school said that he was mostly silent after he had come back from home. He was depressed, many of his friends said.
