50 City Patrol Unit members to get training on first aid

Published on:

To provide first-aids to those injured in road accidents, around 50 City Patrol Unit members were given training on basic life support (first aid) by local private hospital doctors at police line on Wednesday. SP Traffic Pradeep Kumar Rai said that the life of the injured can be saved if they are provided first medical aids by the responder (Police, CPU personnel) or are admitted in a specialised hospital on time.

Due to lack of knowledge about medical aid or about specialised hospital, many injured persons die as they are neither provided first medical aid nor are they admitted in a specialised hospital. CPU personnel of Dehradun and selected police officers for Nainital CPU attended the day- long training programme at police line, he added.
