Five eunuchs said to be associated with Rajni Rawat have been arrested by Nehru Colony police station.
Following the physical and verbal abuse in Kedarpuram between two groups of eunuchs on July 27, eunuch Shalu had filed a complaint against Rajni Rawat and some of her followers.
Following multiple complaints of law and order disruption against the Rajni Rawat group and videos of them beating and abusing members of other eunuch groups surfacinged on social media, senior police officers took cognisance of the issue.
Director General (law and order) Ashok Kumar said, “FIR has been lodged in the case and immediate action will be taken. This is a clear breach of human rights and if they are found guilty they will be sent to jail.”
According to the information provided by the police, after checking the CCTV footage and speaking with the eye witnesses Sushma Rawat (46), Simran (32), Malka (50), Simran (27) and Shahin (27) have been arrested.
Station in charge of Nehru Colony police station D S Negi said that the investigation in the case is still ongoing.
If more accused are found they will be arrested under the same sections as well.
