In the just- concluded Assembly election, 4870879 voters- 2449844 women and 2421019 men have cast votes.
It means 69.34 percent of the women voters and 62.28 percent of the men voters have exercised their franchise this time. While Uttarkashi district registered a 68.29 percent turnout against the figure of70.56 percent during 2012 election the figures were75.69 and 63.45 percent for , Haridwar and Dehradun districts respectively.
In the previous faceoff, the figures for the two districts were 75.35 and 67.16 percent. In Udham Singh Nagar district, the polling percentage came down from 76.84 during 2012 election to 75.59 this time.
