Failing in marital relationship, a 42-year-old person committed suicide after consuming poison on Saturday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Rishikesh resident Ravi Sharma. Police recovered his body at Rispana bridge area under Nehru Police Station. A suicide note was also recovered from his pocket in which he has accused his in-laws of being responsible for pushing him to commit suicide. Nehru Colony Police station in-charge DM Baluni said that police rushed to the site after being informed about a body laying in the Haridwar bypass area near Rispana Bridge. According to family members, he had visited Dehradun to attend the counseling at Women Helpline regarding dispute with his wife. He further said that body was sent for post mortem examination.
