A woman committed suicide in Ghansali’s Koti village by hanging herself on Saturday night but police did not get any suicide note from the site.According to the police, 37-year-old Uma Devi, the wife of Ram Swaroop had gone to attend a marriage programme with her family but returned home early before them.
When her family members returned home they found her room locked from the inside.They broke open the door when she did not respond to their calls for opening it. Her family members found her hanging from a noose tied to the ceiling fan.
They rushed her to the nearest hospital where she was declared brought dead by the doctors. Upon getting the information, police took the body in its possession and sent it for post mortem examination.
Sub inspector Aalam Singh Gusain said that no suicide note was found from Uma Devi’s room.The police could not ascertain any reason for the woman committing suicide after questioning the family members though the police probe into the suicide is continuing, he added.
