A 35-year old man died in a road accident late on Wednesday night in Dehradun. The deceased has been identified as Sultan Ahmed, resident of Chunabhatta locality in Adhoiwala.
According to the information provided by Kotwali police, late on Wednesday night, they received information about an accident near the fire service office at Gandhi Road. After that, members of Cheetah units reached at the accident site and the injured was taken to Government Doon Medical College Hospital with the help of local people.
As per the eye witnesses, two autos were over speeding and overtaking each other from Drona Hotel intersection towards Tehsil intersection, during which one of the autos hit a vehicle parked on the roadside and the driver of the auto got crushed under the weight of his own auto.
The driver was rescued from under the auto by the local people, but he later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
