A three-month-old child who was kidnapped from the Government Mahila Hospital here on Wednesday, has been recovered . The child was recovered from near the Girl Inter College, Banbhoolpura of Haldwani late Wednesday night. It seems due to fear of police the kidnapper dumped the child in the Banbhoolpura area. The fact of the matter is that as soon as the family members reported that matter with the Haldwani police, the enforcement agencies swung into action.
The mother of the missing child, Nariman Jahan, a resident of Nai Basti, Haldwani had come to the said hospital for health check up of her child. In the meanwhile, after handing over the child to her nine year old daughter, the lady Nariman Jahan went to get some medicines as prescribed by the doctor. However, as her older daughter informed a veiled woman snatched the baby from her when her mother had gone to get some medicines. Kidnapping of the baby boy created a lot of panic in the hospital premises. Further investigation is on in this case.
