In a novel gesture, a social organisation involved in empowerment of women has sent 2000 rakhis and masks for army personnel deployed at Siachen glacier. A group of 30 skilled women associated with Trikon Society were engaged in making these rakhis and masks for soldiers.

The director of the society, Neha Sharma said, “During the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19, we are continuously working towards Atmanirbhar Bharat by providing work from home opportunities to under privileged women.  We have tried our best to show our gratitude towards our soldiers, who are safeguarding us."

The women of the society were helped by Kairos Consciousness and Stitch Shop in this endeavour. “Considering the situation that our country is in, our brave soldiers are vigilant on the front. We have sent our love, and blessings in the form of rakhi, praying for their long life and vitality", said Komal Batra, the founder of Kairos Consciousness.
