About 25,000 Government school lecturer and lecturer Teachers (lT) of the State would be on one-day mass leave on August 16. The Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh (RSS), the association of the lT and lecturers has given the call of mass leave on the day.a
The President of the RSS, Ram Singh Chauhan said that the association had given a time period till August 15 to the State Government to fulfill their demands but the justified demands of the teachers are still unfulfilled.
“We had informed the education minister about our plan to boycott work if our demands are not accepted by August 15. As the promises made by the Government are still unfulfilled we are going ahead with our mass leave plan,’’ he said.
The Rajkiiya Shikshak Sangh is demanding assured career progression, three day earned leave and provision of travel leave for the teaches. It wants that no action should be to be taken against any teacher without proper investigation of the charges made and that the education department should conduct transparent regular annual teacher transfers and brings in the requisite amendments in the transfer policy.
