Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat have greeted the people of the State on Krishna Janmashtami.
In her message on the occasion, Maurya said that this festival gave one the opportunity to once again look deeply into the life and philosophy of lord Krishna and reiterate our resolve to follow the path shown by him.

She said that each citizen should work selflessly for the nation to make it strong and prosperous. She said that the teaching that lord Krishna gave to Arjun in the battlefield of Mahabharat, the Bhagavad Geeta, was today among the best treatises in the world. It can show the way to anyone who is puzzled by the world and its complexities.
Meanwhile, the CM, in his message issued on the occasion said that this sacred festival offers people an opportunity to remember lord Krishna’s teachings and to strengthen the spirit of universal brotherhood and peace.
Krishna’s life provides inspiration for knowledge, deeds, love, devotion and harmony.
