Bank employees stage protest
Dehradun:In support of their pending demands, the bank employees under aegis of the United Forum of Bank Unions held a demonstration outside the State Bank of India (SBI) Rajpur road on Thursday. The convenor of All India Bank Employee Association (AIBEA), Jagmohan Mendiratta said that the demonstration is part of the series of protests the bank unions are organising. He said that the bank workers would hold massive demonstration on May 24 and 29 and would go on a strike in May 30 and 31.
Second semis played between OGS and SCA
Dehradun:The second semi final of the Colonel Shashi Memorial Cricket Tournament (Under-14) was played between Oak Grove School (OGS) and Shiva Cricket Academy (SCA). OGS won the toss and opted to bat first. The OGS team was all out for 103 in 21.1 overs. Chasing the target of 104 runs in 30 overs, SCA managed to meet the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of two wickets to enter the finals of the tournament to be played on Saturday against Baluni Public School.
SelaQui International School new champion
Dehradun:The SelaQui International School, Dehradun emerged as champion in the first Inter School Equestrian meet held at Shri Ram School, Dehradun by wining 11 Gold Medals, 14 Silver and four Bronze Medals in various disciplines. Students from eight schools participated in the event.
Yashvardhan Singh and Eeshan Gupta of the school won three golds and one silver each in Dressage, Hack and relay while Balharshpreet Singh, Yuvika Jain, Raina Bhatia, Shreshtha Neogi, Sumaer Singh, Aviral gupta and Priyansh also won Gold and silver in their respective events.
The school headmaster Rashid Sharfudin complimented the participants for their performance.
