Eunuchs to protest on road
Dehradun:Indreshnagar-based eunuch Ritu and some other eunuchs said that they would demonstrate on the roads, demanding action against the eunuch Rajni Rawat and her gang for posing threat to their life. While addressing the media persons in Dehradun on Thursday, Ritu said that those loyal to Rajni Rawat had threatened them of facing dire consequences if they support eunuch Ajay Pal who is now fighting against the alleged atrocities by the Rawat gang.
4 arrested by police from Nehru colony area
Dehradun:Dehradun police have arrested four persons from Nehru Colony area on the charge of vehicle thefts and recovered five vehicles from them. The accused have been identified as Chandan Ramola, resident of Pauri, and Faizal, Amir Aalam and Mohammad Aabid, all from Nazibabad. A police officer said that on the direction of senior police officers, Nehru Colony police conducted vehicle checking drive on Thursday and four persons on bike at Rajeev Nangar bridge were told to stop for checking. After they failed to produce papers of the vehicle they were on, police arrested and grilled them. later, on the basis of the information given by them during questioning, five vehicles were seized. In course of interrogation, they are said to have revealed that the vehicle they were on was stolen from Rajeev Nagar area on April 10. A case under section 379 of IPC was registered against them in Nehru Colony police station, a police officer said .
