The senior police officers have been directed to review the security preparations for Vidhan sabha budget session  as drafted by the district police and range police, he said, adding that necessary instructions have been given to all concerned to ensure fool- proof security during the session at Garisain.

“We are leaving nothing to chance and thus additional police forces  of the rank of additional SPs, deputy SPs, inspectors, sub-inspectors, women sub-inspectors and constables would be deputed on the Vidhan Sabha duty,” he said.

A senior police officer  said that the district police have been directed to install barricades at many places at around Gairsain to stop any group from getting anywhere near the Assembly premises.

“We are on our guard to maintain peace and order during the Vidhan Sabha session as there is a possibility of the session starting on a stormy note,” he added.

“Aside from  deploying additional forces at the important places at Gairsain,  police patrolling and vehicle checking drives are being  intensified in various sensitive areas, “he said, adding that adequate police forces would be dispatched to ensure  the ministers’ and the MlAs’ security and  the security of the government buildings and offices.
