The Election department on Tuesday organised a workshop here for the employees of the State Secretariat on use of VVPAT machine in the Assembly elections.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary VC Pharka said the use of VVPAT machine during polls would certainly help in making the election process transparent, besides motivating the voters. The voters would be able to verify about the votes cast by them through this facility.
Joint Chief Executive Officer Sonia Thakur said the machine would be used in each polling booth of the State during Vidhan Sabha elections.
Additional Chief Secretary Tarun Kapoor, Principal Secretaries Onkar Sharma, Baldev Singh, Secretaries Dr. Purnima Chauhan and Sunil Chaudhary were also present on the occasion.
