Protest at Doon Treasury office continues
Dehradun: In support of their demand of the rectification of the existing pay anomalies, scores of Uttarakhand Treasury Employees’ Santaghan members sat on a demonstration as a part of their indefinite strike at Treasury office in Dehradun on Saturday. The protesters opposed the State Government’s move of deputing untrained PRD jawans as computer operators in the department to complete their works. They warned that they would continue to protest until their one-point demand is met. Jagdish Koli, general secretary of the association, said that High Court had given order in the favour of their demands in 2013. The state cabinet as also the finance and legal departments had also approved it, he said, adding that despite this, the State Government is yet to issue the order.
