Non-teaching staff of Govt colleges demand acp

Dehradun: Hundreds of non-teaching staff of aided Government colleges wore black arm bands on Tuesday to express their resentment against the alleged apathetic attitude of State Government towards their demands. These employees under the banner of Government aided non-teaching staff association are demanding implementation of Assured Career Progression (ACP) for them. They are of the opinion that since there is no scope of their promotions the Government should implement a time bound higher grade pay for them. More than 350 employees of 17 colleges of State are participating in the agitation. The General Secretary of the association Gajendra Singh said that the association has no option but to intensify their agitation if the State Government fails to heed their justified demand. The group found support from other organisations in the State post agitations.
