The world famous Valley of Flowers was closed for visitors on the weekend. As in past years, the valley was closed to visitors on the same day that the lakshman temple and Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara were closed on the public on Saturday. According to officials of the Nanda Devi national park, more than 6,000 tourists visited the valley of flowers this year. This valley is expected to be reopened for visitors during the summer in June next year when the lakshman temple and Hemkund Gurudwara are reopened for the public.
