65 complaints received by Redressal Cell
Dehradun: A total of 65 complaints received by the Compliant Redressal Cell, which was constituted to address the people grievance by the newly appointed Dehradun DM Chandresh Kumar Yadav on Thursday, on Friday. He further said that person belonging to various parts of the district can register their compliant by dialing 0135-2726066 and toll free number 1077. later their complaint will be forwarded to the department concerned and they will addressed on priority basis. According to district officials, a total of 65 complaints related to damage roads, poor sewerage system and others were reported by the residents of Raipur, Cantt, Premnagar, Kalsi, Vikasnager and other places on Thursday.
Probe sought into ginger seeds purchase scam
Dehradun: The former president of Rajya Andolankari Samman Parishad Uttrakhand, Ravindra Jugran has demanded a probe in the ginger seeds purchase scam. In a letter written to the Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Jugran alleged that the Horticulture department provided an inferior quality ginger seed to the cultivators in a bid to dispose of the budget. He alleged that the tender process was flawed as only one firm quoted the after the tender bid was invited by the Horticulture department. Jugran said that the tender was invited after the sowing season of ginger ended in the mountainous areas of the state. He said that in the past the seed expert officers used to send the best quality seeds in 20 Kg packs and these packs were tagged sealed and signed and dispatched to all parts of the state well before the sowing season.
