school van association calls off strike
Dehradun: After meeting with SSP Kewal Khurana on Thursday, Uttarakhand School Van Association called off its strike on Friday. The association president Sachin Gupta said that very few school vans having commercial taxi permit were operated as SSP refused to give 25 days time to the van owners for procuring commercial taxi permits.
tourism minister MEETs PREZ over disaster loss
Dehradun: Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Amrita Rawat met President Pranab Mukherjee and apprised him about the State loss especially tourism industry due to disaster. She showed photographs of disaster of Rudraprayag and Chamoli. She appealed to Pranab to instruct BRO and Army to install ropeway where bridges have collapsed.

Addl secretary information, Sugarcane and Jail IG Vinod Sharma has been relieved from Additional secretary Information. Addl secretary Information Technology, Food & civil supply, Suraj, Corruption eradication & public service and Director ITDA Ravinath Raman has been given addl charge of Director Horticulture.
