Seminar of Apple Cultivators
Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said here on Wednesday that a seminar of apple growers would be held in Dehradun next month. While reviewing the Horticulture Department at the Secretariat today, he said that officials of the concerned departments should be present at such review meetings. He approved Rs 50 lakh for the Horticultre Marketing Council.He said the distribution system should be strengthened to improve the economy of the villages. The CM said the initiative should be taken to get central assistance for projects like Horti-tourism and Tulip garden in Ramnagar. He said work should begin to form a farmer consumer centre and marketing shed. Horticulture Minister Amrita Rawat, principal secretary, Finance, Rakesh Sharma, principal secretary, Horticulture, Om Prakash and DG (Information) Vinod Sharma were also present in the meet.
