Panwar said that compared to the number of pharmacy colleges being established in Uttarakhand there is no employment for the diploma and degree holders in the State. He said that he will raise this point in the PCI meeting while adding that nearly 1,000 students secured admission every year in the diploma and degree courses. In Uttarakhand less than 1,000 posts of pharmacists are sanctioned, while more than 8500 diploma and degree holder pharmacists are registered in the Uttarakhand Pharmacy Council, which is a grave situation.
