Replying to a question, asked by Congress MlA Heera Singh Bisht, about how many villages are under Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) and how much agricultural lands had been converted for residential purpose, Urban Development Minister Pritam Singh Panwar said 185 revenue villages were included under MDDA.

As per the MDDA master plan 2025, in three villages - Khalaganv, Purkul and Bhrahman- character of land was changed.

The Opposition alleged that MDDA VC and secretary were wantonly making changes in the land use. They further said that MDDA was openly doing this and it was happening with the connivance of Urban Development department.

Minister Panwar lost temper and challenged the Opposition to collect facts and figures before

jumping over to such wild allegations. When the Opposition was found retreating in the face of the Minister's counter-aggression.

Tearing into his own party's Government, Bisht alleged that several plots were being readied by the land mafia and MDDA had been sitting over this. Then Minister said to check such illegal plotting, they have been pasting notice to alert the people. law will be enforced strictly  in the coming days.
