In an interesting turn of events, 17 healthcare workers of Dehradun who were found positive for the disease on Friday were found negative on Saturday. This group had four doctors and included a senior physician of a prominent government hospital.
Their first samples were tested in a lab located outside the state which found them suffering from the disease. However their repeat samples were taken and they all were found negative on Saturday.
However a Community Health Centre (CHC) of Tehri had to be closed on Saturday when three health care workers were found infected with the disease.
It is learnt that more than a dozen health care workers in a major private hospital of Dehradun have also been found infected with the disease.
