The photometric registration of pilgrims, undertaking the Char Dham Yatra, is being conducted at 17 counters along the Yatra circuit by Trilok Security Systems India Pvt ltd. More than 3,000 pilgrims have been registered in the last couple of days. The in-charge of the photometric registration counter at Char Dham tourist bus transit compound in Rishikesh, Prem Anand said that the company has set up stationery or mobile photometric registration counters at 17 locations including Rishikesh, Haridwar, Janki Chatti, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Phata, Guptkashi, Sonprayag, Pakhi, Badrinath and one which will be opened at Govindghat after start of the Hemkund pilgrimage. He said problems like that of internet connectivity being faced at Badrinath and Kedarnath were preventing online linkage of the registration counters though the data is being updated via telephonic communication.
