Three-day-long 15th inter district football tournament has concluded in Haridwar on Friday. In the rain-splashed final match held on the concluding day at Roshnabad, Dehradun Police beat Haridwar team by 3-2 and lifted the trophy. IG Sanjay Gunjiyal, the chief guest, disturbed the prizes among both the teams-winners and runners. Total ten teams participated in the tournament.
For Haridwar side, Saurabh and Mahendra scored one goal each while Gopal, Ketan and Sher Singh for Dehradun side netted one goal each. Sher Singh of Dehradun team was declared the man of the match. The match saw see saw with both the teams going on the offensive at regular intervals. Gunjiyal emphasized on the importance of sportsmanship in the entire span of life. Team spirit counts much in the professional life and personal life, he stressed.
During the final match, SSP Haridwar/secretary Sweety Agarwal, 40thPAC Battalion Commandant Arun Mohan Joshi, all the circle officers and station officers were present.
