A teenage girl died under mysterious circumstances in Pali village in Gaja sub-tehsil in the district. It is rumoured that the death occurred of bullet shots.
On getting the information, the administrative officials went to the spot on Friday and collected information regarding the incident.
The 12-year-old Rajni, daughter of Asad Singh, a resident of Digothi village who used to live in the house of Shurvir Singh Rawat in Pali village died on Thursday night under mysterious circumstances. The information reached the revenue police on Friday after which naib tehsildar Gaja, Gambhir Singh reached the spot. He found Rajni’s left jaw bore bullet injury.
The body was sent to Narenranagar for post- mortem. Singh said that Shurvir Singh, who is working as pharmacist in Nakot hospital, had adopted Rajni.
Singh claimed that on Thursday night Shurvir had given the loaded gun to Rajni to take keep inside the house.
During the time of carrying the gun, the bullet must had accidentally gone off and hit Rajni, killing her on the spot.
The police are further interrogating the family members and waiting for the post- mortem report. The father of the deceased, Asad Singh has not lodged any police complaint, Mr Singh said.
