A function was organised on the eve of International Women’s Day by GVKEMRI 108-service at its campus on Friday.
The 108-service also felicitated the women employees of the department. Addressing the gathering, 108-service, State Head Manish Tinkoo said a memorandum of understanding was signed between Uttarakhand Government and 108-service on March, 08 in 2008. He told that 108-service has handled 6,23,732 emergencies so far since its
launching. Tinkoo said that 5,195 babies were born in the life saving ambulances in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of the state. Speaking on the occasion, Meenakshi Negi, Emergency Response Officer said that women have been doing commendable work in the department. Priyanka, Neetu, Rubina, Mahek, Meera, Beena and many more were present.
