In a new operational procedure, the administration of the 108 emergency ambulance service has decided to provide the number of driver of the ambulance on the phone number of the caller by sms. The officials of the Community Action through Motivation Programme (CAMP), the new company operating the 108 emergency ambulance services claim that the new procedure is set in place so that direct connect between the callers and the driver is established. In another measure, the service has decided to provide special Petro cards to the drivers so that the ambulances don’t face any operational problem due to absence of fuel.
