While presenting his Government’s report card on its completion of 100 days in office through releasing a booklet ‘100 din sarkar ke-100 din vikas ke’ compiled by department of information and public relation (DIPR) at Parade Ground on Sunday,  Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reiterated his commitment to try every means to  implement all the promises mentioned in the party’s vision document. While laying thrust on checking migration, he said he would constitute a powerful committee to look into the matter in its depths and suggest corrective steps.  He also said that  an army memorial  would be set up in the state by way of  paying tribute to those who are embracing  death for the cause of the nation’s unity and integrity. Two Union ministers- tourism minister Mahesh Sharma and minister of state Ajay Tamta who hails from the state were present on the occasion.

“State government having prepared a concrete roadmap for the speedy development of the state, we have already taken a slew of measures with the long-term perspectives in view to give a  new direction to the state. Their impacts would be visible on the ground soon.  Happily enough,  the Centre  is giving full support to the state in tune with its  double engine development promise,” he said. The booklet released on the occasion contains the major    schemes being now implemented or about to be implemented pertaining to  agriculture, health, education, PWD and drinking water.

While affirming that his government is determined to weed out corruption, root and branch, he said that transparency must be maintained in matters of recruitment. “We are concerned about the welfare of the farmers too. We have thus decided to give them  loan upto Rs one lakh at two percent interest. This loan would help them add to their income through   value addition. They would get better price for their produce,” he said.

He also dwelt on the steps his Government has taken in the interest of the natural calamity - affected people. “The State government has amended the norms regarding the quantum of loss due to such calamities. Earlier, the compensation was given  at the tehsil level.  But from now onwards, the nyay panchayats would assess the quantum of losses incurred by the people. The compensation amount for the farmers who lose standing crops to such calamities would be substantially increased. To ensure that things go smoothly, the state government is all set to recruit 1000 patwaris,” CM said.
