The BJP state media in-charge Devendra Bhasin alleged that the Congress is allergic to the courage of army men and the honour accorded to them. Earlier, the Congress had objected to prime minister Narendra Modi describing Uttarakhand as Sainik Dham. More recently, it also objected to chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat referring to the Shaurya Sthal in Dehradun as Sainik Dham and complained to the election commission citing this as a violation of the election model code of conduct. Bhasin said that Congress leaders use derogatory words for the army chief and make statements against the air force chief while also asking for proofs of strikes carried out against terrorists. In such a situation, the Congress objected to Sainik Dham and Shaurya Sthal only exposes the character of the party, opined Bhasin.
