After coming out of the lethal tentacles of the cancer recently, ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh is out in the field to generate awareness against the not-so-invincible malady. Already being a part of "YouWeCan" Fight for Cancer initiative, the cancer survivor will soon be in touch with the cancer, in any part of the world, through google hangout.
"We would be launching the Google hangout portal in October via which the cancer patients can chat with me from any part of the world for an hour every month," Yuvraj told The Pioneer. Heralding a new inning in the cancer awareness, Punjab Government has roped in Team 'YouWeCan' and its captain Yuvraj Singh to bat for it. After all, in a State where, on an average, a person dies of cancer every one-and-a-half hour, a brand ambassador, of the stature of all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is needed. The cricketer has already setup a "not-for-profit" Yuvraj Singh Foundation that has launched and is operating its 'YouWeCan Fight for Cancer initiative.
Yuvraj called upon the people for early detection of the malady for effective treatment. Recalling the horror of treatment, Yuvraj asked the people not to fear cancer "I have fought cancer. I was frightened too , but one thing was clear that you yourself have to fight. Your family and friends would be with you, but it is between you and cancer only," said Yuvraj, adding that it was better if it get detected at early stages.
