Tourism and Youth Affairs Department Minister Amar Kumar Bauri praised youth of the country on wednesday saying that they remained on the forefront of maintaining the image of India as the master of rest of the world. He urged the youth to remain a consistent flag-bearer of being an Indian with pride and dignity, no matter wherever they go. He also appealed them to help Jharkhand in getting out of negative image.
Bauri was speaking at the inauguration of a week-long National Unity Camp at BIT Mesra on Wednesday.
The camp is welcoming 210 youths from 15 states to showcase art, culture and tradition of their respective state before others, so that all of them get familiar with the cultural diversity of the country at one platform.
The Camp is also scheduled to organise cultural evenings with packed programmes on yoga, meditation, training on self defence among others.
The camp will also host a series of lectures by subject and issue experts everyday on pertinent topics like online transaction, environment protection and enrichment, swachchh Bharat Abhiyan, skill development, life skills and digital India.
The participants will also be taken to historical places of Jharkhand.
