To strengthen the party at grass-roots ahead of Haryana Assembly election, the Indian Youth Congress on Wednesday launched ‘Jan Shakti’ drive.

In this, IYC members would meet to the people through door to door campaign, informing them about BJP’s failure in five years as well as achievements of the Congress party during its 10 years rule in the state, said IYC’s national president Sriniwas BV.

Based on their activeness in the Constituency concerned, ten members of Youth Congress will be given ticket in the Assembly election in the state, he said.

Sriniwas said that youth Congress had recently completed its internal survey and based on that 40 out of 90 Vidhan Sabha seats have been selected in the state wherein IYC members would campaign door to door to strengthen the party.

People’s suggestion will also be sought during campaign, which will be later included in party’s election manifesto. He said that all the senior party leaders are united and they are working at their level to strengthen the party ahead of the Assembly election. "Party will form the government in the state," he asserted.
