Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president and Punjab Congress MlA Raja Amarinder Singh Warring's car on Sunday crushed a teenaged

boy to death in his Gidderbaha constituency.

However, Warring was not in the car at the time of the incident as he is away in Mumbai.

Warring’s driver Sujan Singh was driving and two other persons were also sitting in the car, when the accident took place near Doda village in Gidderbaha constituency. They were going to attend a bhog ceremony in a village.

The boy, identified as Gurkamal Singh, was crossing the road when the car hit him about 11.30 am. He was rushed to the private hospital by the driver of the car but he could not be saved. The doctors declared him brought dead.

Warring said that it's an unfortunate incident. “We have offered the deceased family that if they want any sort of action against the driver, they may go for it. But the family refused to do so,” he said.

The family belongs to my constituency and we would take care of the family to the best of our position, he said.

No case had been registered in this connection.
