The Youth Akali Dal (YAD) has decided to hold a series of public meetings, road- shows, rallies, corner meetings and other people oriented programs beginning with its first roadshow at Khatkar Kalan, birth place of Shahid Bagat Singh followed by another roadshow from Mohali to Patiala.
A decision on this was taken here on Saturday at the party quarters in a meeting of Youth Akali Dal presided over by Punjab Revenue Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia who asked party youth to ensure party’s third consecutive victory in the ensuing assembly polls slated for early next year.
Giving details of the programs outlined by the Youth Akali Dal, general secretary Parminder Singh Brar said that the first road show is at Khatkar Kalan on Sept. 28 followed by another on Oct. 5 which would start from Mohali and would pass through more than half a dozen constituencies.
Majithia will address series of meetings and rallies workers exhorting the youth to work with utmost dedication. Majithia will too be meeting common people.
Brar said similar programs would be planned in all zones to hold road shows, youth rallies and public meetings to garner support for the party adding that the party was confident of making a hat-trick at the next assembly elections.
