Teqsir, a poignant short film about one young man’s struggle with his own guilt, was released on YouTube Tuesday by two youngsters of the city. The term Teqsir is derived from the language Azerbaijan/Persian which means ‘guilt’. The movie features young talented actors – Vivek Rana, Shivanika Dhami and Shubham Sharma, all hailing from Chandigarh.
Teqsir is the end product of extreme hardwork and passion for film making of two young boys — Mohit R Gupta & Samarth Mehta. The 18-minute movie is a debut production of two city based childhood friends. Both 20-year olds, Samarth is a second year student of BSc Animation at Frameboxx, Chandigarh while Mohit is a second year BBA student at Amity, Chandigarh.
“Without any external investment sources, the movie has been entirely financed from the pocket money of this young crew. The entire cast and crew has made a debut attempt in their respective fields while striking a balance with their academic life (undergraduates). Teqsir is the first project of life Broadcast Factory, founded by both of us”, says Samarth.
