Chandigarh: Panjab University in association with Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) celebrated World Intellectual Property day on Friday. The workshop was conducted in two phases and took place in the Seminar Hall of CIl Building, Panjab University the theme being Creativity-The Next Generation. S K Soni, Director, Centre for Industry Institute Partnership Programme, (CIIPP) gave live demonstration to the researchers for assessing the patentability of the research work. He stressed the need for adopting a six point system including the search for research articles, patents, blogs, news, books and yellow pages in the worldwide online databases for planning the innovative research. The workshop was attended by over 100 researchers including students and faculty of the University.
annual day celebrated with new concept
Chandigarh: UIHMT (University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism) organised annual day function Utkarsh-13 at the USOl auditorium. The event was organised to encourage the students by awarding them prizes, medals & certificates that they
earned during their stay at UIHMT which were conferred by lalit K Bansal, Director UIHMT. It initiated a new concept of collar badge ceremony wherein all those students who have undergone professional training during their course, were conferred with a collar badge. This was followed by prize distribution under various categories

Ayuredic College Paprola (Kangra) and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S) Course in Solan Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital Solan (Private) on June 23 at Shimla and Dharamshala Examination Centers, Dr. Narendra Awasthi, Controller of Examinations (COE) said on Friday.
He said that the request for obtaining the prospectus by post can be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) Room No.10 (Ground Floor), H.P.University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/Band Draft amounting to Rs.1600 for General & other categories and Rs 850 for S.C./S.T. categories candidates, drawn in favour of Finance Officer, H.P. University Shimla-5. Request for obtaining the prospectus by post can be entertained upto May 16.
