Won't allow single drop of water to go out of State: Sukhbir

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Thursday said that the SAD-BJP combine Government is fully committed to protecting the river waters of Punjab and will not allow even a single drop of water to go out of the State.

Sukhbir, on the last day of his Sangat Darshan programme, claimed that not a drop of water will be allowed to go out of the State and this pledge is an article of faith with Punjab Government.

“We will ensure that the interest of States is not affected on Sutlej Yamuna link (SYl) Canal issue,” he said.

Appealing to the people of the state to beware of unscrupulous forces out to fan communalism in the state, Sukhbir warned that Punjab government will not tolerate any mischief- monger and such elements existed then they would be dealt strictly.
