On completion of its 3 years in Government at the Centre, the BJP had a bitter experience in Himachal Pradesh, where its MlA from Arki, Govind Ram Sharma was slapped by a middle-aged woman, when the MlA was trying to intervene in a protest being staged by Jay Pee Cement Company Truck operators outside the Vidhan Sabha Complex at Shimla.
The woman identified as 48-year-old Deepa of Mandi district is a work charge employee with Public Works Department.
In a fit of rage, she slapped MlA Govind Ram Sharma, DSP city Rajinder Kumar and BDC member of Mangal Panchayat Suresh Kumar when they were moving ahead to address the protesters.
ASP Arijeet Sen said FIR has been registered under Section 353 and 332 after the incident.
The woman who has a history of schizophrenic attacked reportedly gave a slip to everyone as they were going ahead on dais to protest rally.
