On the first day of Haryana Vidhan Sabha session, Women empowerment was witnessed during the oath-taking program of newly elected members. The oath ceremony was started with the oath of office and secrecy taken firstly by the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal and then secondly by Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala. Subsequently, all women MLAs took the oath of office and secrecy.
Thereafter, the members of the Vidhan Sabha were administered oath, district wise in English alphabetical order. During the oath program, the members took the oath in different languages. Three MLAs took oath in Sanskrit and two in Punjabi language while most of the other MLAs took oath in Hindi and English.
