A 24-year-old woman along with her 26-year-old lover and two-year-old son ended her life by jumping before a moving train on the Delhi-Rohtak railway lines in Rohad village under Bahadurgarh sub-division on Wednesday.
Illicit relation allegedly led the woman belonging to Upper Caste and man hailing from Backward Class to take this extreme step. The deceased have been identified as Monika, her son Naksh and lover Rajesh of Chulina village.
The man and woman both were married and had been residing in Ram Gopal Colony here for last some years. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been booked by the Government Railway Police (GRP) Bahadurgarh in this regard. Sukhbir Singh, SHO of the GRP police station Bahadurgarh, informed that they had received information this morning that three persons, including a child, were crushed to death by a passenger train moving towards Rohtak from Delhi. “We immediately rushed to the spot and after going through the circumstantial evidences found that the case pertains to suicide instead of accident. We recovered mobile phones from the man’s pocket and then informed his family members about the incident,” said the SHO, adding that kin of the man and woman on reaching the spot disclosed that the duo went missing under mysterious circumstances four days ago. Traffic on the Delhi-Rohtak railway line was disrupted for over two hours due to the incident as the driver halted the train on the spot.
Preliminary investigation said Monika, mother of two children, and Ashok, father of two daughters, were neibhours and had illicit relation.
