Will curb menace on priority: AAP

Taking cognizance of deaths of five members of a family in an accident that occurred due to an abandoned blue bull at Bathinda, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday vowed that within three months after coming into power, the party would curb the menace on priority.

Condoling the deaths of five members of a family, AAP MP from Faridkot Prof Sadhu Singh and its Manifesto Committee head Kanwar Sandhu claimed that every year, more than 5000 people got killed in road accidents of Punjab and many mishaps took place due to the abandoned animals.

“Saturday’s accident also occurred due to the abandoned blue bull standing on the main road and five members of a family fell prey to it,” said the AAP leaders, adding that although reports of such accidents appeared in the newspapers almost every day, Akali Government never gave any heed to such a grave menace.

“Even during a dialogue with farmers of the state, the menace of abandoned animals emerged as the key concern, who were ruing their crops,” said Sandhu.
