Which law under IT have I violated: Virbhadra to Dhumal

Breaking his silence over the allegations levelled by former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his two sons for taking loan from a private individual having business stakes in the State, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that they should cite the law which deters him from doing so.

“They (Dhumal family) are questioning my loan taken from an individual but they should come up with requisite law which deters me from taking loan from a private individual,” said Chief Minister after the oath-taking ceremony of MlA Mansa Ram as Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS). “I am regularly filing my Income Tax returns and affidavits which clearly mention my loan taken from an individual and I have nothing to hide,” said Singh, adding that Dhumal and his two sons are indulging in cheap politics.

He said that those levelling allegations with a sheer motive should tell me, what law I have violated. “Is there any law under Income Tax which prohibits an individual from taking loan from other individualIJ I and my wife have filed affidavits during elections which clearly stated our movable and immovable assets,” said the Chief Minister.

Terming the allegations as propaganda to malign his image, Virbhadra said that these acts will not yield any result. “During previous BJP Government, frivolous cases were levelled against me and a media trial took place but still court acquitted me,” said Singh.

Investigations in the cases against BJP MP Anurag Thakur and other are going on and if they had done no wrong then they should not fear. Chief Minister said that investigation in the infamous phone tapping case is also in final stages and is likely to be completed by the end of month.

Meanwhile, Arun Dhumal, younger son of former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has once again questioned the silence of Virbhadra in the entire episode. He even challenged the Chief Minister for a public debate on the issue.

Dhumal Junior said that even Pratibha Singh, Mandi MP and wife of Chief Minister could not shrug of her responsibility and she should also come out clean in the entire issue.
