Vijay Kumar Dev, a senior Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) IAS officer, will replace KK Sharma as the Adviser to UT Administrator.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday appointed Vijay Dev as UT Adviser.
Dev, a 1987-batch officer, was holding the position of Delhi Chief Electoral Officer since October 2012. He has earlier headed various departments, including Revenue, Food and Civil Supplies.
The present incumbent KK Sharma, who is awaiting his transfer orders, will join at Delhi as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Child and Woman Development.
KK Sharma, a 1983-batch IAS officer and a civil engineer by qualification, had taken over the post of UT Adviser on April 15, 2011. Sharma is likely to relinquish charge soon. His three years term ended in April and he was given extension.
