National Commission for Schedule Castes chairman and Congress MlA Dr Rajkumar Verka showered praises on Chief Minister for coming up with the prestigious project for the community.
“I am personally indebted to the Chief Minister for undertaking this historic task which has finally given a feeling of solace and sense of belongingness to the Valmiki community for the first time in the history of India,” he said.
Being a head of the NCSC, Dr Verka highly commended the role of Punjab Government for giving honour and recognition to the Valmiki community thereby fulfilling their long cherished desire for the construction of this temple at Sri Valmiki Ashram.
