Valtoha should ask Badal to resign: Navjot

All is not well between the ruling coalition partners in Punjab — Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the BJP. The slugfest between its leaders has refused to die down with each passing day.

Continuing the war of words, BJP MlA and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Friday riposted to SAD CPS Virsa Singh Valtoha’s statement who, a day before, asked her to put in her papers if she was dissatisfied with the alliance.

Retorting, Navjot Kaur advised Valtoha to instead demand resignation from Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal.

“Punjab Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have no right to stick with their posts as they failed to come out as per the expectations of the masses in Punjab,” said Navjot while talking to the media.

She said that all the ongoing projects in public interest were seized, the reason best known to Punjab CM.

“Moreover, all developmental projects initiated by her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu during his tenure as MP were also scuttled by the Punjab Government,”

she added.

Valtoha had asked Navjot Kaur not to try to harm SAD-BJP coalition to further the personal ambitions.

Akali leader was reacting to Kaur’s statement that BJP should snap ties with SAD to be successful in Punjab.
