A delegation of Property Federation Chandigarh submitted a memorandum related to transaction of properties to UT Finance Secretary Saravjit Singh on Monday. The federation demanded decrease in collector rate as reduced in Mohali.
The delegation said that the administration should survey the market and then go ahead to review the collectorate of all type of properties here.
The requirement of NOC for sales transactions of freehold properties has been dispensed with and hence is not mandatory in Chandigarh.
Few of our members have pointed out certain ambiguities and would like to State that in case anybody seeks NOC before transacting property deal he be granted the same within short period so that safe deal is materialized, said the members of delegation.
They also sought permission to mortgage of lease hold property and requested for registration of property consultants.
After the meeting, the Finance Secretary assured them that their issues will be discussed with the concerned officials.
