A complaint of sexual harassment against Gurcharan Singh, Senior Assistant, UT Employment Exchange branch at Panjab University was submitted during the public hearing session of Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shivraj Patil held on Monday.The complainant was working in the UT Employment Exchange branch at PU but was shifted to main branch in Sector 17 after registering the complaint of sexual harassment against Gurcharan during August 2012.
“We had registered an FIR against Gurcharan Singh for sexual harassment in August 2012 and he was even arrested after the complaint but was out on bail after two days. Since then, the accused Gurcharan have been working with the UT Exchange branch and was even promoted from the post of Superintendent to Senior Assistant, said Deepak, the husband of the complainant.
