Chandigarh Congress unit filed complaints against BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and party’s in-charge for Chandigarh Affairs, Aarti Mehra with the Chandigarh Election Department on Tuesday. In the complaint, Congress stated that on March 29 at Bharat Vijay Rally, Modi delivered a speech wherein he used false, defamatory and uncalled for language against Congress candidate and local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal which is in complete violation of Code of Conduct.

The complaint stated, “Modi said, Bhrashtachar ke Pawan ko yahi par gaad do. Use jaane mat do. Yahin per rokdo.” Not only this, Modi knew that the statement he was making was false and uncalled for statement and still he made the statement only in an attempt to damage Pawan Kumar Bansal in his election to be held on April 10. He also knew that the word ‘Railgate’ used by him has nothing to do with the candidate Pawan Kumar Bansal.” “In this connection, Modi also knew that CBI after through investigation had found that Bansal had no connection with the alleged transaction. Not only this even the CBI court in New Delhi, the Court which has taken cognisance of the case has vide order dated 10.03.2014 dismissed an application filled by an NGO for directing CBI to reinvestigate the matter against Bansal, stated the Congress.
